Shrimp Cracker was the Top selling snack of the year 2023, in Korea

According to the food industry statistics information of the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation (aT) on the 11th, Nongshim Shrimp Crackers’s retail store sales last year were KRW 135.9 billion, ranking first among snack foods.

Next was Poca Chip (Orion, KRW 116.4 billion), Pringles (Nongshim Kellogg’s, KRW 98.5 billion), Kokal Corn (Lotte Well Foods, KRW 87.9 billion), and Squid Peanuts (KRW 66.6 billion). Poca Chips surpassed KRW 100 billion last year from KRW 92.1 billion in 2022, joining the ‘KRW 100 billion club’ along with Saewookkang.

Among biscuits, Home Run Ball (Haitai Confectionery, KRW 86.5 billion) was sold the most, followed by Ace (Haitai Confectionery, KRW 58.9 billion), Oreo (Dongseo Foods, KRW 43.4 billion), Margaret (Lotte Well Foods, KRW 41.9 billion), and Yegam (Orion, KRW 39.8 billion). That’s right. In terms of chocolate, Lotte Well Food Pepero sold the most at KRW 118.5 billion, making it a member of the KRW 100 billion club, and among breads, SPC Samlip Pokemon Bread sold KRW 110.8 billion, double that of Samlip Hobbang (KRW 53.8 billion).
